Introduction to
Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples
Workshops
Does your group want an introduction to working with couples from an Emotionally Focused Therapy perspective?
I will come to you to run a one or two day introduction to EFT with couples.
The cost is negotiable depending on the means of your group, number of people and distance for me to travel.
If you are unsure if you can afford me then please ask and tell me your situation.
My aim is to introduce more therapists to couples work and EFT rather than making a big profit.

Group size is usually 6 - 24 therapists and trainee therapists.
Your group may be a University / College, a charity/volunteer organisation, a group of therapists, etc.
The workshops are suitable for those interested in working with couples and interested in EFT, as developed by Susan Johnson & colleagues.
Workshop Content/Structure
The workshop will focus on participants:
- developing confidence in working with two people
- becoming able to validate and engage both members of the couple at the same time
- exploring any anxiety about working with couples
- learning the basic theory of Emotionally Focused Therapy and applying this through a variety of exercises
- participating in role plays, watching video clips, discussion, Q&A, etc.
I aim to create a safe and supportive learning environment that supports openness, creativity and growth.
Handouts will be provided along with information on how participants can continue to develop their knowledge and skills in EFT.
